Summer Dance Classes

Summer is almost here. With it comes warm weather and fun in the sun—and the long-awaited Summer Burn. Why are summer classes so important? To understand that, we should stop and compare how our bodies work to how our minds work in school and academics.

If you spend the summer not exercising your brain with math, science, or reading, it will take your brain a while to review everything you learned during the previous semester. This principle applies to the world of dance as well—if you don’t take any dance over summer break, your muscles and brain will take longer to fall into step. In other words, three months off in the summer equals three months of catch-up in the fall. This can be quite frustrating for returning dancers who find that what was easy last spring is now quite difficult.

So, with that in mind, let’s review the projected classes for the upcoming summer and see which are the best fit for you.
