Meet the Faculty

Shannon Connor Shannon brings over twenty years of dance practice and teaching experience to the Royal Dance Academy. She studied in NYC under some of today’s most recognizable instructors and choreographers such as Mia Michaels (“So you think you can dance” fame), Joe Lanteri, Frank Hatchett. Shannon deep experience allows her to teach an array of dance disciplines ranging from lyrical, hip hop, modern, jazz and tap. Shannon has extensive dance performance experience, including Crazy for You, A Chorus line, Fame, Once Upon a Mattress, Bye Bye Birdie, Carousel, and Dreamgirls. Shannon has extensive musical and dance team choreography experience and competitive dance judge experience. Shannon’s years of teaching experience has led to a number of students going on to professional dance careers on Broadway and other major performing companies.
